myou is an app that lets you communicate across languages using your own voice and AI. To do this, myou uses speech recognition, translation, and voice synthesis technologies. This policy explains in plain language what we collect, what we don't collect, where your data goes, and what rights you have.
myou is provided by Pohsi (individual developer, referred to as "we"). We believe honest disclosure matters more than polished promises. If you have any questions after reading this policy, feel free to contact us.
Guest mode (not signed in): When you first open myou, we generate a random device identifier to distinguish usage across devices. This does not contain personal information and is deleted when you uninstall myou.
Signed-in mode (Apple Sign In): We receive an Apple-provided user identifier. We do not store your real name or email — even if Apple transmits them, we discard them. This identifier is used to restore your voice model when you switch devices or reinstall.
We do not collect: your real name, email, phone number, gender, age, photo, or address.
When you set up "My Voice", you record two short voice samples. These are sent to ElevenLabs (our voice synthesis provider) to create your personal voice model. After processing, raw audio files are not retained on our servers; only the voice model remains, stored on ElevenLabs' cloud.
During conversations, your voice is recorded in real time, sent to OpenAI Whisper for transcription, then discarded. We do not permanently store conversation audio.
Each utterance processed in myou — the original transcribed text and the translated output — is stored in our database (Supabase, Singapore data center). We also store: language pair, timestamp, voice model ID used, and technical metadata (e.g. translation model version).
Note: Although conversation bubbles disappear when you close the app (we don't store conversation history on your device), our server retains the text version. We think it's important to be honest about this rather than letting you assume otherwise.
Core functionality — speech recognition, translation, and voice synthesis — requires sending data to the respective third-party services (see Section 5).
We retain conversation text to improve myou's service quality over time.
If we ever enable active analysis, personalization learning, or use conversation data to improve AI models, we will: (1) update this policy, (2) notify you in-app, and (3) seek your consent where appropriate.
Includes cost control (e.g. counting usage over 30 days to prevent abuse) and debugging. This is automated and does not involve reading conversation content.

Cross-border transfer: Your data is transferred to service providers in the USA and Singapore. By using myou, you acknowledge and consent to this transfer.

You can delete your account directly in the app (Manage Voice → Delete Account). You may also email contact@myou.tw with your Apple account or voice ID. We will process deletion within 30 days and confirm by email.
Email contact@myou.tw to request a copy of data we hold about you. We will respond within 30 days.
myou is rated 16+ on the App Store. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe your child has used myou without parental consent, email contact@myou.tw and we will delete the data promptly.
We are an indie developer app and cannot guarantee against all incidents. If a security event occurs that affects your data, we will notify you within a reasonable time (target: 72 hours) via in-app notice or this page.
myou is evolving rapidly and this policy may be updated. For significant changes, we will display the updated date prominently on this page and notify signed-in users via in-app message.

myou 是一款讓你跨越語言的對話應用程式——用你自己的聲音、用對方語言的當地表達方式，把你想說的話傳遞出去。我們希望語言不再是人與人之間的隔閡。
為了做到這件事，myou 在背後會用到語音辨識、跨語言翻譯、語音合成等技術。本政策的目的，是用白話告訴你：當你使用 myou 時，我們蒐集了什麼、沒蒐集什麼、資料去了哪裡，以及你有什麼權利。

訪客模式（未登入）：當你首次開啟 myou，我們會在你的裝置上產生一組隨機識別碼（以下稱「裝置識別碼」），用來區分不同裝置的使用紀錄。這組識別碼不包含個人資訊，當你刪除 myou 時會一併消失。
登入模式（Apple Sign In）：若你選擇用 Apple ID 登入，我們會從 Apple 取得一組由 Apple 提供的使用者識別碼（我們目前不儲存你的真實姓名或 email，即使 Apple 將其傳給我們也會丟棄）。這組識別碼用來在你換手機或重灌時，讓你保留你的聲音模型。
我們目前不蒐集：你的真實姓名、email、電話號碼、性別、年齡、頭像、地址。
當你設定「我的聲音」時，你會錄製兩段聲音樣本。這些錄音會傳送給 ElevenLabs（我們的語音合成服務商）用來訓練屬於你的聲音模型。訓練完成後，我們的伺服器不保留原始錄音檔案；聲音模型本身則儲存於 ElevenLabs 的雲端。
後續對話時，你每次按下錄音的聲音檔，會即時送往 OpenAI Whisper 轉成文字，我們的伺服器同樣不保留任何原始錄音檔案。
你在 myou 中講過的每一句話，經過語音辨識轉成文字後，該文字以及 myou 跨語言處理後的文字，會儲存於我們的資料庫（位於 Supabase 新加坡資料中心）。同時儲存的還有：對話語言、時間戳記、所使用的語音模型代碼、技術除錯資訊。

你可以直接在 app 內刪除帳號（聲音管理 → 刪除帳號）。也可以寄信至 contact@myou.tw，我們將於 30 天內處理並確認。
myou 在 App Store 的年齡分級為 16 歲以上。我們不會有意蒐集 13 歲以下兒童的資料。
重大變更時，我們會在本網頁標示更新日期，並透過 App 內訊息提醒已登入使用者。
